It's been a couple of weeks since I did the previous 40 Years of Punk & New Wave: The Sounds of 1977 Playlist so thought I should rectify that with another blast through twenty tracks that were lighting up my teenage life. Hope you enjoy it.

Debut single and the first release on Step Forward Records.
Terminal Stupid - The Snivelling Shits
One and only single in 1977 on the Ghetto Rockers label.
Bone Idol - The Drones
Released as a Double A-Sided Single with Just Want To Be Myself on Valer Records.

From their Debut Album Young Loud and Snotty on Sire Records.
I Don't Care - The Boys
Debut Single on Nems.
Jet Boy Jet Girl - Elton Motello
Debut single in Germany 1977 on Pinball Records. In a few countries where it was released Pogo Pogo was considered the A-Side. It was first released on Lightning Records in the UK in 1978.
The Loner - Chelsea
B-Side of the Debut Single Right To Work which was the second single to be released on Step Forward Records.
No One - Johnny Moped
Debut single on Chiswick Records.
Borstal Breakout - Sham 69
Single was released in 1978 on Polydor but the version on the Playlist is taken from their John Peel Session in November 1977.
Jeepster - Eater
Cover Version of Bolan's song and the B-Side to Lock It Up released on The Label.
Shoplifting - The Slits
From their November 1977 Peel Session that was released as an EP in 1987 on Strange Fruit.
Kill - Albertos Y Lost Trios Paranoias
From the Stiff Records Snuff Rock EP.
Go Buddy Go - The Stranglers
A Double A-Sided second single (Peaches was the other side). On the playlist is a tv appearance where Hugh and JJ seem to have swapped instruments (and Hugh still looks like he's playing guitar)!
Your Generation - Generation X
Debut single on Chrysalis Records, on the playlist the version is from their Top of The Pops appearance.
