I think what amazed me as I went through that list was actually how many of them I actually have in my own collection!
There are probably a few albums that should be in the list but I can't actually think of them at the moment apart from the the 1968 classic by Wilson Pickett called 'The Exciting Wislon Pickett'. Atlantic/Stax Volt soul is probably better remembered for singles rather than albums. Also only one of Otis Redding's albums are mentioned in the list. I would add to it his 2nd album, The Great Otis Redding Sings Soul Ballads, released in 1965. Not only does it include the superb 'Mr Pitiful' but also a blinding verion of 'That's How Strong My Love Is' and a beautiful rendition of Sam Cooke's 'Nothing Can Change This Love'.
