There are by far more than 20 classic Bruce shows of course and whitling it down to those twenty must have been a real tough job.
An honourable mention should go to Brucebase for the setlists. It is one of the premier Bruce Springsteen information sites on the Internet.
Two shows that should get a mention are my own personal choices:
Glastonbury - 27th June 2009.
The link is for the BBC footage. They showed an hour and and just over twenty four minutes of his set. It is absolutely captivating viewing.
Setlist:
COMA GIRL / BADLANDS / PROVE IT ALL NIGHT / MY LUCKY DAY / OUTLAW PETE / OUT IN THE STREET / WORKING ON A DREAM / SEEDS / JOHNNY 99 / THE GHOST OF TOM JOAD / RAISE YOUR HAND / BECAUSE THE NIGHT / NO SURRENDER (with Brian Fallon) / WAITIN' ON A SUNNY DAY / THE PROMISED LAND / THE RIVER / RADIO NOWHERE / LONESOME DAY / THE RISING / BORN TO RUN / HARD TIMES (COME AGAIN NO MORE) / THUNDER ROAD / AMERICAN LAND / GLORY DAYS / DANCING IN THE DARK.
And the day after Glastonbury he played 'Hard Rock Calling' at Hyde Park London. The show was officially released on DVD and is brilliant and shows off the pure power and passion of Bruce and the E Street Band in concert.
Hyde Park, London 27th June 2009.
