Two years after making his debut for Sun Records as Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two with Hey Porter (not included on the album but added to reissues) the debut album from Johnny Cash was released, it contained two of Cash's biggest Country hits to date - So Doggone Lonesome (#4) and I Walk the Line (#1) as well as Cry! Cry! Cry!(which had been the B-Side to Hey Porter and had reached #14 on the US Country Charts).
