In Memory of Stuart Cable
7th June 2010, a sad day indeed when we learned of the passing of Stuart Cable, former member of the Sterophonics and of late the drummer of Killing for Company.
(Stuart on stage at The Gathering, January 2010)
Killing for Company were due to play the Download Festival at Donnington and recently they were on tour with The Alarm during the 'Direct Action' Tour.
Mike Peters, lead singer with The Alarm, said Cable's band had only recently played with them and his death was a "real shock" and a "real tragedy".
"He was supposed to be joining us for Rhondda Rocks. I will remember him as someone who was so alive - I can't believe he's gone. I don't know what the circumstances are but it's a real tragedy.
"He was always smiling and laughing and great to be around. He had lots of energy and couldn't wait for the next day to come around.
"He was a larger than life character who seemed to be a driving force behind the personality of the Stereophonics."
Soundtrack4Life sends their heartfelt sorrow to the family of Stuart and wishes to honour the man who made a deep and lasting impression on so many, especially in his homeland of Wales. His absence from the drum stool will sorely be missed.
This is our tribute to him and to all who loved him and to the many fans up and down the land who today feel that they have lost a friend.
