Tidy Tune #235: Take Me Bak 'Ome - Slade

August Bank Holiday Weekends always remind me of The Reading Festival, and I went to a few way back when, including the one in 1980 when Slade blew Whitesnake off the stage on the Sunday afternoon.

Slade replaced Ossie Osbourne's Blizzard of Oz on the Sunday and brought much merriment to the huge crowd waiting for Def Leppard and then  headliners for the final day - Whitesnake. Much to their annoyance though Slade stole the show with a blistering set that included their hits 'Take Me Bak 'Ome', 'Mama Weer All Crazee Now', 'Get Down and Get With It', 'Cum on Feel The Noize' and of course 'Merry Christmas Everybody'.
