There were actually a lot of different tracklistings for the album dependent upon where you purchased it and what edition you managed to get hold of.

I have to say that it's one of the things that actually annoys me a lot when bands do this (and Paramore are not the only band/artist to do this these days).

*************

It's been ten years since the release of  Paramore's most successful album and in that time they have released a further three Studio albums and gone on to greater chart success: Brand New Eyes (2009) - US Chart #2, UK Chart #1; Paramore (2013) - US Chart #1, UK Chart #1; and current album, released 12th May 2017,  After Laughter - US Chart #6, UK Chart #4.

Whilst it's been interesting to see Paramore spread their wings a little over the past couple of albums and grow away from that Pop Punk/Power Pop/ Emo Punk or whatever you want to call it, I do think that Brand New Eyes and especially Riot! they were at their most sublime best.

I still think it sounds like a great album as well. From start to finish it's good and maybe Miracles and Fences are the only weak tracks on the album (that's my personal view and others might think differently). The strongest tracks were chosen as singles of course but I've said it before elsewhere on this blog I'm rarely in favour of bands releasing more than two singles from an album. My favourites on the album are For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic; CrushCrushCrush; We Are Broken and the final track Born For This.

Paramore had begun making waves back in 2005 when their Debut Album All We Know Is Falling was released. Although the album failed to chart in the US it did finally sell enough copies in the USA, Australia and the UK to be awarded a Gold Disc in each of those countries. The two singles released from the Album, Pressure and Emergency, laid the groundwork for the good things that were to come when it came to making the follow-up.

The Riot! album was recorded between January and March 2007 in New Jersey and prior to the album recording Jeremy Davis (Bass) had been dismissed from the band, but was reinstated quite quickly (he had actually left the band in 2005 prior to the recording of the Debut album but returned five months later). Taylor York was added to the band as guitarist for the up and coming tours as Hunter Lamb had decided to not go out on the road in order spend more time with his family.

Success though did not necessarily bring great happiness to the band and an internal struggle within the group as they embarked upon a European Tour in February 2008 led to a number of cancellations and rumours that the band were about to break up.

Those rumours though were put to bed when the band returned to their hometown of Franklin, Tennessee  to film the video for the fourth single from the album That's What You Get. But that by no means was the end of "band issues" as they would raise their ugly head two years later (but that's a story for another time).

The Final Riot! Tour ran from 25th July - 1st September and the performance in Chicago on 12th August 2008 was filmed and eventually released in November 2008 as a CD/DVD package The Final Riot!
