"Sometimes there's a song in my brain/
And I feel that my heart knows the refrain/
I guess it's just the music that brings on nostalgia
For an age yet to come" - Pete Shelley (Nostalgia - Buzzcocks)
Edwyn was on fine form. He sat through the whole performance but he was really incredible. His disability has not prevented him from still kicking up a storm on stage. The Oran Mor was sold out for the show.
The Biggest surprise of the night was the presence of Roddy Frame on Guitar for Edwyn's band. He was excellent and added to the sense of specialness about the show.
On drums was an old friend of mine, Dave Ruffy. He's played with the Ruts, Aztec Camera, The Waterboys, Kirsty MacColl and Marc Almond to name but a few.
Dave Sharp, former guitarist of The Alarm played a night of music by The Alarm at Rockers in Glasgow. It was a pretty good night with fans traveling from many parts of the UK and a couple of folks from New York for the evening.
Dashboard Confessional (well actually it was just Chris) performed to a packed ABC in Glasgow. Support for the night was John Ralston. It was a great solo show by Chris that basically turned into a great Dashboard Community singing evening. Here's a few photos of the night. I'd forgotten to put the up before (so more than a month later here they are!).
