Whilst I am in the mood for some great old music, how about The Darling Buds? 'Pop Said' was a really fine debut and whilst their follow up albums did not enjoy as much success they did have some really great songs.
'Pop Said' of course contains the important first four singles: 'Hit the Ground', 'Burst', 'Let's Go Round There' and 'You've Got to Choose'. At the time of this great release many exciting bands were breaking into the charts and Indie music was on the rise.
Here's a great little live set that's on You Tube at the moment.
Part One
Songs included are 'Valentine', 'Pretty Girl' and 'If I Said'.
Part Two
Songs included are 'Shame on You' and 'That's the Reason'
