Disciple - Attack (23rd September 2014)
The tenth studio album 'Attack' by hard rocking band Disciple was released at the start of this week. It's been two years since 'O God, Save Us All' and the band have moved on from their label to go independent. The album was crowd funded via Kickstarter.
There's already been a great response to the album as it hit #1 in the Christian Music Top Ten on iTunes. Glowing reviews as well from many sources as well.
I've loved a lot of what these guys have done over the past 22 years. I even got to see them a few years back at AtlantaFest where they blew away all gathered at Six Flags for a blistering afternoon set in the Hotlanta heat!
This is easily going to be one of the best Christian rock albums of the year.

Tidy Tune #268: You're Missing - Bruce Springsteen (In Memory of Andrew Winslow)
ANDREW MARSHALL WINSLOW
7TH FEB 1986 - 22ND SEPT 2014
On Monday of this week a dear friend from South Carolina passed away, It was a real shocker as he was such a young chap but he suffered from Type 1 Diabetes and somehow it got out of control that day. He was loved by many and will surely be missed by many.
Whenever I think of him I always picture him with his Clemson Cap on and being madly fanatical about his beloved Clemson Tigers - he played on the Clemson University Tiger Marching Band. On game days his profile picture was always a big slab of Orange which always made me laugh.
So, for Brenda and Milton I am deeply saddened for you both as his parents that you have lost a great son way too soon.
For Paul, I feel for you as you have lost your big brother.
I am certain that all the sweet memories that you have of him and all the memories that his friends have shared will be a great aid to you as you go through this valley.
This was taken at Clemson University back in the 90's. Andrew is the first in line. Others in the picture from left to right are Paul Winslow, Tex George, Me, my wife Kerstin and Paul and Andrew's Dad Milton.
Rest in Peace
Andrew

Happy Birthday Joan Jett 2014
Born in Wynnewood, Philadelphia on this day in 1958 Joan Marie Larkin (better known to us as Joan Jett).
Joan Jett is known as one of the founding members of The Runaways (alongside Cherie Currie, Lita Ford, Jackie Fox and Sandy West). Whilst not so popular in their homeland of the U.S.A., The Runaways enjoyed success in Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, and even South America.
The Runaways released five albums before
they called it a day - 1976 The Runaways, 1977 Queens of Noise, 1977 Live in Japan, 1977 Waitin' For The Night, and 1978 And Now...The Runaways.
With The Blackhearts she has recorded 10
Albums and many brilliant singles.
Joan Jett makes her acting debut.
Her latest album, 'Unvarnished', was released on Sept 30th 2013 (UK) and 1st Oct 2013 (USA). It is the first
album since 2006 ('Sinner'). The first single from the album was 'Any Weather'.

Tidy Tune #264: Incident on 57th Street - Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
As we head toward the 65th Birthday of Bruce Springsteen it's good to remember this one from two years ago on this day at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
This was from the second of three nights.

idy Tune #263: Come Together - Third Day
Seems like a very fitting lyric for today.
"I know there will come a day
When we all will come together
And learn to set aside our hate
If we could learn to love our neighbors
Just like we would love ourselves
We've got to come together
'Cause in the end we can make it - alright
We've got to brave the weather
Through all of the storms
We've got to come together"
When we all will come together
And learn to set aside our hate
If we could learn to love our neighbors
Just like we would love ourselves
We've got to come together
'Cause in the end we can make it - alright
We've got to brave the weather
Through all of the storms
We've got to come together"
