Rewind: 1986 Run DMC Unleashed in the UK

Released in the UK 18th 1986
(US Release 27th May 1986)
Profile Records
Produced by Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin
US Chart #6
UK Chart #41

Not totally sure why it took two months before Raising Hell was released in the UK but I'm pretty sure it had to do with the massive hit single 'Walk This Way' that had been released a a couple of weeks before. It was one of the first truly massive Hip Hop singles in the UK peaking at #8. Raising Hell was the third studio album from the Hollis, Queens, NY trio of Joseph "Run" Simmons, Daryl "D.M.C." McDaniels and the mixmaster Jason "Jam Master Jay" Mizell.

Prior to it's release I had actually been aware of them thanks to a DJ friend of mine and I had heard songs like It's Like That (1983), Hard Times, Rock Box, Hollis Crew (Krush Groove 2), Sucker M.C.'s from 1984, King of Rock and You Talk Too Much from their 2nd album in 1985.
