****************

Another Reggae album today. This time from Burning Spear, their seventh studio album.

Burning Spear have been on the go since 1969 and although they started out as a trio it is Winston Rodney who today holds the name and has done since 1976. The 1977 album Dry and Heavy was the first album that was released with just Rodney at the helm. In 1977 Burning Spear performed a sold out show at The Rainbow and the backing band was Aswad (the performance was recorded and released as an album in October 1977). Aswad also feature on the Social Living album released a year later as would Rico Rodriguez and Sly Dunbar.
